Following the acquisitions of 24translate and Hieronymus, DigitalTolk further consolidates its position as the leading pan-European platform for legal and financial language services
STOCKHOLM, Sweden / VADUZ, Liechtenstein — September 2026 — DigitalTolk, a Sweden-based technology-driven language services provider, today announced the completed acquisition of Interlingua, the leading translation and interpretation agency in Liechtenstein. The transaction, the financial terms of which were not disclosed, closed on 14 April 2026 and represents DigitalTolk's third transaction in the DACH region, following the acquisitions of Germany and Switzerland-based 24translate in 2025 and Zurich-based legal translation specialist Hieronymus earlier this year.
The three acquisitions together mark a deliberate and accelerating strategy to build a full-spectrum Language Services group including premium, compliance-grade language service businesses across the German-speaking European market. This combines deep institutional client relationships and specialist expertise with DigitalTolk's proprietary technology platform and commercial infrastructure.
A Strategic Extension into the Language Service- and International Conference Market
Founded in 1976, Interlingua has built a 50-year track record serving legal, financial, and institutional clients across Liechtenstein and the wider DACH market, including longstanding relationships with both public and private sector clients. Liechtenstein's language services market is characterised by strong demand for specialized, high-quality translations, particularly regulated and internationally oriented sectors. Interlingua’s strong reputation, deep sector expertise, and well-established client relationships have positioned the company as a leading provider in the region and as a compelling platform for continued growth.
DigitalTolk's value creation plan centres on accelerating Interlingua's historically relationship-driven, inbound growth model by applying structured sales capability, outbound business development, and active tender monitoring, disciplines central to DigitalTolk's commercial approach across its European portfolio. Interlingua will add know-how in conference interpretation to the group and enable DigitalTolk to expand into new markets that fit the brand. Importantly, Interlingua’s team will remain in place, ensuring continuity for clients and partners while preserving the quality standard, specialist expertise, and trusted relationships that have been built over five decades. Interlingua's clean IT infrastructure and low technical debt present minimal integration risk and a clear path to deployment of DigitalTolk's platform to enhance delivery capacity and operational efficiency across the combined group, while further strengthening service quality and customer experience
"Each of our three acquisitions has been chosen for the same reason. 24translate, Hieronymus, and Interlingua all built their reputations on precision and trust in sectors where mistakes are not an option, and that discipline is what we are bringing together under one platform. Interlingua's fifty years of institutional relationships in Liechtenstein, combined with their expertise in conference interpretation, make them a natural fit for where we want this group to go. We are proud to welcome their team and confident that the standards their clients rely on will only get stronger from here. — Virpal Singh, Chief Executive Officer, DigitalTolk
"For half a century, Interlingua has been delivering high-quality language solutions across various sectors. By teaming up with DigitalTolk, Interlingua and its dedicated team will be able to leverage DigitalTolk’s robust marketing and sales capabilities to make these proven solutions available to new customers. Meanwhile, DigitalTolk’s technology focus and in-house development capabilities will strengthen our product offering, ensuring that existing customers benefit from the latest developments in the fast-moving language industry.” — Felix Jaeggi, Managing Director, Interlingua
